There is certainly more to Anthony Faingaa’s story. The Brumbies may be targeting another Super 14 player in the backs for 2009 or opening more cash for a 2010 playe...Could they get Gits back? Could Fagan get the thrid party contracts in place to get him back? they will need a lot more cash than Faingaas contract. The Faingaa brothers would have looking to sign a two year contract and apparently they were happy to take a cut in fee to stay with the Brumbies. Anyway I wish them the best, there could be many explanations.

After last weekend loss it’s evident the Brumbies need genuine speed in the back three. Perhaps there is a fast back on the way? We will see how Clyde Rathbone comes back likely in 2009 and hopefully he still has speed.

Julian Salvi (another local talent) resigned and is happy to wait under George Smith tutorage for the next two years. However he has been given a full starting contract fee and promise of starts at No8 and blindside flanker next year. Gene Fairbanks has signed but there is no statement to the length of his contract at this time.

Fairbanks over Faainga? Rough call. Very dissapoiting for the Brumbies but the first sign of the worm turning. great young talent leaving the Brumbies instead of heading towards them.
Also the Brumbies need more than Moore to become a dominant forward pack. their lineout and scrum are ordinary.

I'm a Brumbies fan and baffled by this one. Mortlock, Fairbanks, and Rathbone are injury prone and Huxley is gone. There must be space for Anthony in the Brums backline somewhere. I understand the twins wanting to play together but the package deal does seem a little unusual. Is there more to this one than meets the eye, mudskipper? I remember being disappointed when Henjak left for the Force, but Brumbies admin made the right call then. I wonder how this will pan out.
