Chooks stun THEMSELVES after containing entire Dragons set inside 10m line, scoring ridiculous try
The Roosters won 60-18 with this incredible sequence capping off the performance.
I’ve followed the NRL for the past few years and I’ve noticed a re-occurrence throughout all forms of the media: a complete lack of coverage of the Canberra Raiders.
Whenever the Raiders play, no matter the opposition, the game is rarely shown on commercial television and is covered on the news only to inform us of the scores.
Rewind fifteen years and the Raiders were the premier team of the competition, having players in both Origin squads. and the Kangaroos squad.
Although times have been tough for these former heavyweights of the competition, they have not wooden spooned since the 80s and have generally made the top eight.
They have also won the premiership more times than the Sharks, who are yet to win the premiership in their 40 year history. Yet they get more coverage than the Raiders.
Ponder this next time you read the rugby league section of the newspaper or watch the Footy Show, where Phil Gould regularly slates the Raiders.
