The arguement over SH stars blocking NH youngsters is still a little hard to justify. NZ had 4 Super14 players. That aside, there were nearly as many GP squad players as there were Air NZ Cup players. And most of those guys who have had a run in the ANZC only got a game or two. They would be: - S14 - K.Poki (Crusaders) S.Maitland (Crusaders) N.Manu (Crusaders) Z.Guildford (Hurricanes) - AirNZ Cup - C.Smith (North Harbour) G.Hart (Auckland) D.Kirkpatrick (Wellington) J.Willison (Waikato) A.Taylor (Manawatu) T.Renata (Waikato) The thing is though Inky, there are so many great talents floating around in this age group in NZ. Keep and eye out for another couple of future stars in Aaron Cruden and Kurt Baker (who will play for Manawatu in the AirNZCup this year). There is so much talent in this comp it'll be a real shame if they get rid of it. One of the better ‘gather round children’ tales I’ve heard in a while…
