It’s time for the Eagles coaches to accept responsibility

The West Coast Eagles continue to struggle for form, even though they still have 17 premiership players. Surely it’s time that the coaching staff were held accountable for what can only be described as a very poor game plan.
We have seen, even in the days of Judd and Cousins, the over-use of handball on the half back line where the players tend to group together and then turn the ball over.
This ultimately turns into goals.
The game plan lacks the run-of-ball carries through the lines and the midfield appears have no cohesion, leadership or structure.
When watching the other teams that are positioned around the Eagles on the AFL ladder, at least they have glimpses of good play. The Eagles have no such showing as they continue to persist with a very questionable game plan that has, at best, had limited success since the premiership year.
No white Knight will come riding into the club from the draft who will turn the club around, and the club cannot afford to sit back and wait until the 2009 season to change their fortunes.
You have to start winning somewhere.
We are yet to see a club get belted all season then front up the following season as a premiership contender. Most seem to turn their fortunes around mid-to-late season.
An example of which would be Essendon this year.

Jim Beam Devil's Cut
As bourbon ages, a portion of liquid is lost from the barrel due to evaporation. This is known as the Angel's Share. When the bourbon is taken from the barrel, a certain amount is left trapped within the wood. It's that extracted liquid, and the rich flavours from deep within the barrel that are in Jim Beam's Devil's Cut.

As a passionate Melbourne based member of the West Coast Eagles Football Club I would like to say that our coachin pannel are shareing responsability with oue Senior Players for our shocking season.
May I quote 1116 SEN”s Francis Leach before last night game between West Coast Eagle & Brisbane Lions ” The West Coastr EWagles Senior Player are not showing a good example to their youger players”.
This artickle should say responsability should be shared between the West Coast Eagles Coaching Pannel & their senior players for theis shocking season

Sorry John but i’ve got to disagree,
yes, the blame always falls on the coaching staff, but in situations like the eagles where the coaching staff have been a credit to premiership success of the club and a few years of dominance now get the blame, rubbish.
John Worsfold is a highly respected coach and rates highly with me.
Have you taken the time to look at the team and possible throw some of the blame at them. Judd leaves, Cousins off the trolley, Kerr injured or suspended, Braun to retire, Glass play at less then 50% due to injury, Lynch and Hanson average, and amongst all the link up footy that the eagles once possessed is nowhere to be seen, not because of the coaching staff, but the quality of the team.
I’m just sick of the coaching staff been hit with constant criticism when if we have a closer look its only the players to blame.

Cosmos Forever your right but i dont believe there is anything wrong with the eagles intentions but the players go through with it. The coaching staff have the right ideas but its not easy when u have a team as bad as the eagles have

I grant that We lost Cousins & Judd I know they were great players for us.
We need to look forwar with younger player like Masten, Ebert, McKinley, McNamarra, Kennedy, Wilkes & the Younger Playewr that we will gain the this years National Draft though it will take us a while to ge to where we were two years ago wqhen we do get there how sweet it will be.

Why is this article posted in the Roar rugby chapter? Are the West Coast Eagles are having such a shocking season that their fans are posting lost randomly in any section? Appears so…
