mtngry is right. The programmers at 7 are @#%$*& - every wallabies game is shown after midnight in Melbourne, usually after some old 70's movie.

Tahu would be covering 10,12 and wing. If Giteau gets hurt Barnes to 10 and Tahu to 12.
Cross would be covering 13 and F/B.

Tahu wil go in for Barnes at 12 and Tuqiri will cover full back if required...Tahu could show up as a winger but it would be a waste...Cross is more likely to be a winger replacement...

Would like Polota-Nau on, along with Tahu and Sheehan and Phil Waugh and ... Nah, scrap the team and play the TAHS!!!

On a more serious side, will Deans play with Tahu's versatility here? I mean that Cross is typically a centre, maybe potential for a wing -> Who will go fullback if Mitchell is injured??

Palu made more tackles than any other player in the last game by a fair margin, thats where he was, whilst the other forwards bludged.
Pick on the other forwards.

Mudskipper,

It is good news for the Wallabies that Elsom is back becaue I am sure that we will see the Springboks revert to type this weekend. PDV has said they will not give up on the wide game but the pressure for the team to win must not be enormous. They know what has worked for them in the past so the Wallabies better be ready for a brutal game. Palu needs to come back from wherever he has been lately and Smith needs to take a few tips from Waugh about getting stuck in cos the SA backrow are going to hold it and bash it up. The entire Aussie pack have to prove that they have the stomach for a fight.

Pleased to see Timana Tahu on the bench...I hope he gets a run…a good 20 minutes perhaps…The Australian backs are looking good and will be even stronger next week with the return of Adam Ashley Cooper. Its excellent news that flanker Rocky Elsom is ready to start. He is a very important part of the team and will be missed next year. The Wallabies are really in with a good chance in Durban this weekend…looking forward to the match…

Wallabies by 8-10…with Rocky back and I’m having visions of Tahu splitting the Republican backline and setting up try for Tuqiri in the second half…I might even consider the unthinkable and put a small wager on the Wallabies to win by +13 as it is paying 6.25…good odds…I know its crazy talk and the Wallabies don’t win in the Republic, however the rugby planets are lining up and with the Springboks growing injury list, Peter De Villiers still working out the ELVs and up setting the IRB Referees…furthermore the Boks are playing their third test match in as many weeks and have been softened up by our New Zealand brothers…there is somewhat of a reasonable chance for an upset…
