There must be a certain sympathy, but not too much, for over-the-hill stars who just can give up the roar of the crowd. It's intoxicating and probably the best thing a person will do in their (he or she) life. But for Grant Hackett it seems time is up on competing, and it's time to get on with the rest of his life.
