A couple of matches ago I watched the Storm's tackling specifically. The grapple tackling was appalling. It was dangerous, and deliberately so. It slowed the play the ball ruck down every time which enabled the defensive line to stay intact. It was clearly a deliberate tactic to intimidate and frsutrate the opposition. It is clearly against the laws of RL. What is more, if someone was injured by it, depending on the severity of the injury, they would have an open and shut case for assault, with large damages to ensue. RL was a specacle can't afford to have any tolerance towards the grapple tackle. All this means that Cameron Smith should be hit with the book, and if he isn't the NRL opens itself to big problems sooner rather than later. Spitfire 3 is right. It slows down the play the ball, it angers, fatigues and frustrates the opposition and puts them off their game. It surely played a part in Melbourne's dominance of the regular season. Having seen it on slow-mo a hundred times you have to wonder what he would gain by removing his opponents head from his shoulders, two weeks from the grand final....Similar to williams (Hawthorn) stupid act last week ,and he is lucky he wasn't wiped out as well...I hope he (smith) gets off, but how about using your brains fellas....
