I do not believe Australia is at fault for the drawn test. Anyone who watched or listened with any interest would have noticed that the Indian bowlers waste more time than the West Indians ever did. At least with the Windies the time taken between balls & overs was because of the fast bowler runups. The Indian bowlers just waste time. Kumble stood at the bowlers crease waiting until the batsmen were in their taking block, then decided to set his field on numerous occassions & he was not the only guilty party.
Also their batsmen waste a lot of time making sure they face as few balls as possible. As soon as the Indians think there is any chance of defeat, they will do whatever it takes to slow either their own over rate or the oppositions over rate.
All things said though it was any interesting game to watch & i believe the wicket was possibly one of the best i've seen in a long while

A drawn Test when you are on top most of the play, as Australia were in this match, is not a great result. There is the feeling that India got off the hook with the draw. But there were positives from an Australian point of view with the bowling of Shane Watson and Mitchell Johnson, and some of the catching. Ricky Ponting is becoming more assertive as a captain. The absence of a world class spinner, though, is going to make things difficult for the Baggy Green Caps, especially in India.
