Adelaide United fans are already lining up for tickets to the club’s historic Asian Champions League final with Japan’s Gamba Osaka.

Club officials have ruled out moving the second-leg game from Adelaide’s Hindmarsh Stadium despite its capacity of around 18,000.

The club will host the second leg of the final on November 12.

United chief executive Sam Ciccarello said while the club had enjoyed its semi-final success, it had immediately turned its attention to the final.

“This is a really special moment, it’s a remarkable achievement for one club,” he told ABC radio.

“For an A-League in Australia to be on this stage, it’s pretty emotional.

“We’re proud, we’ve really taken on this tournament.”

Tickets for the match went on sale at 9am this morning and Ciccarello said fans were already queuing up to book a seat at the match.

Ciccarello said the state government was investigating the possibility of adding some temporary seating at Hindmarsh Stadium.

He said the club was also involved in discussions to provide a large screen in a major public space in Adelaide for those people who could not get tickets to watch the game.
