"As much as we love seeing Lleyton Hewitt scrap out a win in a five-setter, there is something appealing about an aggressive player. I think that’s why we have adopted Marcos Baghdatis, Fernando Gonzalez, and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga over the years."

Or have about the most aggressive of them all.......Roger Federer.

Ha, nice reminiscing... Andrew Ilie... that guy was awesome. Used to hit his big forehand with both feet off the ground. He would be perfect for a "Where Are They Now?" episode...
I reckon Lleyton Hewitt wasn't aggressive enough against Gonzalez. In the second and third sets, he was happy to play in the middle third of the court and the CHilean was having the time of his life blasting winners past him with ease. Hewitt needed to take a few risks and try to play closer to the lines, but he refused to take the punt. Especially with all his recent injuries, I don't think he can expect to grind players down over five sets.
