Word has filtered in from the NSW Waratahs camp that Phil Waugh has already signed with Llanelli in Wales for the 2010 season.
If this is correct, the Waratahs will have a hell of a job on their hands replacing their Mr Durable, who has lead the side so energetically and expertly from the front.
It beggars the question: are the Waratahs capable of rising above the loss of the inspirational skipper?

Baxter doesnt have the experience? I dont think he is captain material but his experience is unquestionable.
Of the players you name, Mumm and, to a lesser extent, Burgess are options. SNK would also be an option if he wasnt leaving. No one has nailed down the 6 spot yet, but Mowen is also a leader.
