Reborn Carlton to give Swans run for money

History will be on Sydney’s side when they take on Carlton at the SCG. But coach Paul Roos and the TAB haven’t taken that into account for this Saturday’s clash.

The Swans have beaten the Blues in their last eleven encounters.

This year also marks the century when the old South Melbourne club beat Carlton in the 1909 grand final to claim their first ever flag.

Despite the history, Carlton are the TAB favourites with .65 for the win with Sydney trailing at .15.

If recent form has anything to say in this match, Carlton has the upper hand. The Blues have only dropped points in one game this season, compared to Sydney’s two.

You can’t help but feel Carlton are a different team this season.
