if only this was the persepective of media outlets and all the journalists-sans-integrity who are compelled to write pages upon pages about a proffesional athlete who's been drinking until the small hours of the morning... if only they'd stick to the sport!!

its not news worthy. i do it every weekend! worse! but this trashy, celeb-obsessed tabloit culture has taken over the media and these incidents are now routinely passed off as knowledge the public needs...

journalists and their integrity needs to be the focal point. surely they should use their writing abilities and the resources of their employing organisation to bring the public better stories and news which actually matters! But the status quo tells us that Tim Cahill having a couple frothys sells alot of newspapers.

now if it was a politician or some head of business employing thousands of people, ie. people with responsibilites to the community, out drinking and being a nuisance, that's news worthy. But someone who kicks a ball for a living? Get real.
