The only people it won't make sense to is Ford, which is probably part of the reason why they are losing interest in the category. What's so important about the season opener anyway? I would have thought the Finale was much more significant. We still have our iconic events in Australia and we are still visiting the best track here, so if they can manage a trip or two overseas then good luck to them. I do however think the season is too long. The amount of races is fine but it is spread too long through the year. I do not care about the trip to the Middle East. Nothing makes the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide safe for a few days like the Clipsal 500, as their residents travel to the city for the race.
