Fox pay the NBL to show games. Besides, viewership numbers for pay TV and digital channels like One are actually not that dissimilar. You'll probably find that the "increase" in netball attendance has more to do with free tickets given away. As a basketball fan, I'm just glad that I'll get to see every team at least seven times! Why because people know about the league because of the exposure a free to air deal has given them. Something the NBL should look at.
