08/11 England v Australia
08/11 Wales v New Zealand
14/11 Wales v Samoa
15/11 Italy v New Zealand
15/11 England v Argentina
15/11 Scotland v Fiji
15/11 France v South Africa
16/11 Ireland v Australia
22/11 Italy v South Africa

29/11 Ireland v South Africa
29/11 Scotland v Argentina
29/11 France v New Zealand
29/11 Wales v Australia
29/11 USA v Fiji
11 teams from Top 12 of the International Rugby Board rankings are playing. Australia, New Zealand and Wales play four nations.
England, Ireland, Scotland France, Argentina, Fiji and South Africa play three. Samoa and Italy play two.
Assuming the standard four points for a win, two points for draw, and potential bonus points for four tries and/or loss by seven or less, what do you think the final table is going to look like?
It’s the best three out of four results for Australia, New Zealand and Wales, and it’s double the best of their two results for Italy and Samoa.
As an option, if you think that teams beating another team ranked above them should get an extra point?
Going to the Waratahs v Brumbies blockbuster at ANZ Stadium, Saturday 24 April? If you're keen to meet up with other Roarers, register you interest and we'll keep you informed on the place to meet. Register now.

I realise a few of these results might contradict each other – but that’s just the nature of rugby! I assumed full strength – which may of course not be the case.

not bad robbo, id pick pretty much the same or similar myself. on a side note, wallabies grand slam ? no chance. I think ireland especially may be very tough.
Robbo said | October 28th 2009 @ 7:13am | Report comment
To be honest we are just about as likely to do a “grand slam of losses” than to win one. I guess the only certainly is that we will destroy Scotland.

Both your England v Australia prediction and your France v New Zealand prediction are wrong.
Even though their players are dropping like les mouches, England will beat the Aussies. As easy as a lemon squash. Seriously, I think they will beat the convicts by 7 – 10 points. Martin Johnson is aware that, 2 years out from a world cup, he needs to post a few results on the door.
As for France v New Zealand, the All Blacks should have worked out by now that the only way of succeeding at the WC in 2011 is to lose to France between the World Cups. Otherwise, there will be another ‘99 or ‘07.
Regards,
Mr. Cheese

ha ha ha ha Mr Cheese – are you serious
“Martin is aware that 2 years out, he needs to post results ” cos thats single handedly is going to win the match for them
Mr cheese said | October 27th 2009 @ 9:07am | Report comment
No, it’s not going to win the match for them single-handedly.
However, I am serious. I didn’t go to a private school, so I don’t know a great deal about Rugby Union. Nevertheless, I do believe that England will beat the convicts by 7 points or more.
I will write on this website when I am proved right.
So France by 5 over NZ
England by 7 – 10 points over the prisoners

Er ok.
Mebbe I should have supplied a table that people could alter. So taking those results, you’d have:
Team P W D L PF PA PD TB LB Total
New Zealand 4 4 0 0 50 – +50 – – 12*
South Africa 3 3 0 0 29 – +29 – – 12
Ireland 3 2 0 1 20 2 +18 – 1 9
Wales 3 2 0 2 25 15 +10 – 1 9
Australia 4 2 0 2 18 10 +8 – 1 9
Argentina 3 2 0 1 13 5 +8 – 1 9
France 3 1 0 2 15 12 +3 – 2 6
England 3 1 0 2 5 18 -13 – 2 6
Fiji 3 1 0 2 15 18 -3 – 1 5
Scotland 3 1 0 2 3 23 -20 – – 4
Samoa 2 0 0 2 0 35 -35 – – 0
Italy 2 0 0 2 0 40 -40 – – 0
The above may be all over the place cos I don’t know how to do tabs in these comment boxes. Or if you can.

I see the SA and NZ going all the way through without losing, but if they do NZ might slip up against France and SA against Ireland, Australia will lose 1 or 2 probably against Ireland and England. Argentina will beat the Scots and possibly the Welsh depending on if they at full strength.
Possible upset games of the series…Samoa beating Wales and Fiji beating Ireland (the Irish are playing SA the next week and might not be focused on the Fiji game)

Fiji beating Ireland? Never going to happen – they could well beat the Scots though.
