India feel the pain in a ODI for the ages

The other night, the pain was written all over Tendulkar’s face. He fully understands the agony of coming so close to winning the fifth ODI but losing it.
Tendulkar played an outstanding innings that won him man of the match, despite being on the losing team.
India now face the unenviable task of having to win the next two matches to win the series. Accepting his award, Tendulkar looked emotionally fragile. Don’t be surprised if he retires from ODI cricket after the World Cup.
With the exception of Tendulkar’s innings, Australia outplayed India. Given the lack of fit players, the match was even more impressive.
Marsh broke free and scored his maiden century – a relief all round, I am sure. He was a little lucky being dropped twice.
McKay chipped in with three great wickets, which helped turned the match.
All in all, this had to be one of the best ODI matches in the last ten years.

It was a good match, but nowhere near as great as the one in South Africa some years ago where the Aussies made 438 and South Africa got the runs with a couple of balls to spare.

Yeah. More matches like that, and I might think 50 over cricket has a future.
