Tong

It is amazing how the 'minnow' nations can actually provide some very entertaining Rugby. Not enough exposure to be honest. If you want to see some rather entertaining 'minnow' Rugby try the GermanrugbyTV channel on Youtube.

Anyone else more keen on watching the so called "minnows" than some of the crap dished out by the top-tier teams like the wallabies at the moment?

pity that Rugby (like all sports) is driven by $$. sometimes the most fluent rugby, biggest tackles, attacking tactics, and end-to-end movements are not at the so-called top end, because those teams are far too "conservative/defensive" to chance their arm and play more "risky" rugby.

bring on RWC in Japan 2019. Hopefully by then there will be more parity in terms of coaching and general governance support for the second-tier nations to reach the finals... Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, Japan, Namibia, Ireland, scotland, wales (hehehe)

Japan beat Canada 27-6 in the second Test to move up to 13th in the IRB rankings. 13th is their best ever spot and they're certainly progressing under Kirwan.

They were Japan's first ever Test opponent back in 1930, though they were named British Columbia for that fixture. Two years later, Canada toured Japan as "Canada."

Japan ran in six tries today. Twice they took the corner lineout instead of a shot at goal. The first time they scored from a rolling maul. The second time the throw was crooked, but they won a tighthead and scored. Plenty of good defence from the Japanese side. Most of their other tries were from strong tackling and turnover ball. The kind of stuff I wish the All Blacks still did

Not everyone, OJ.

Out of the limelight somewhat but I thought the Leicester v SA was an outstanding match of commitment, energy and a powerbuster of a display from the Tigers to totally shred the Bok front row and the team.

The Ireland v Tonga match was full of running and passing and ran up ten tries between the two.

And, as you say, the French were outstanding last night.

Let's see how the next lot of games go.

The Georgia V Argentine Jaguars is live on www.1tv.ge tonight (Saturday) at 23.15 Aust East Summer time. When the site opens, switch to English on top right, then on the live box. A new window will open then click on the region zone. any or all should open to view the game.

A couple of sites that show the Rugby on the internet are for Georgia games at 1tv.ge , Italian games on raisport.rai.it , general games are found on justin.tv and several national Rugby unions show the games live on their websites or replays later.

samoa played well considering they only got together 3 days before. wales had a ton of opportunities, but so did samoa. once they get confidence they shift up another level. a poor halfback pass on the welsh tryline was the only thing that stopped them

Look its great that this much rugby is being played, i did notice that a bunch of games are playing at the same time as the NZ Italy game.

The question I have is why can't we watch replay games on the internet if we miss the match?

As a fan, and I am sure that many other fans are the same, I have been known to have a few beers and boisterously view my opinion of proceedings but it can get a bit blurry towards the end - so I like to watch the replays.

But if the games are streaming online - or played at the same time as each other (nullifying the recording option), where can we go at our own leisure and get to watch these games as replays?

Surely if rugby want to continue its growth it needs to make the game available to those that want to watch it?!!
