Former Waratahs and Wallabies Mark Hartill and David Campese have agreed to coach Parramatta first grade rugby union side next year. Mark Hartill will be the Head coach, concentrating on the forwards, and Campo will handle the backline and handling skills.
I do not think they are doing it for the money. There is none.
Mark Hartill and David Campese are not career coaches. From my knowledge, Hartill has been associated with a number of very successful junior rep sides from Gordon.
Campo did a stint with Sharks in South Africa as backline and skills coach.
Their mere presence will act as a magnet both to retain current players and attract youngsters. Parramatta has made the very difficult decision to move from the hallowed turf at Granville to Castle Hill, provided the required ground is available at Castle Hill.
This is now the subject of negotiations with Baulkham Hills Council.
Parramatta Two Blues seek to position itself as the rugby team of North Western Sydney.
It will not be easy for Hartill and Campo but their names alone will instill some confidence in a club with a proud history that has seen better times.

Hills, Hawkesbury, Rooty Hill… Why are these clubs considered to be strong clubs. Isn’t there any considerations for seniors subbies or is it not worth looking in these comps especially for parramatta.
