Mr Cheese I agree totally, I hope my post isn't misleading. My point is that I don't think he really will find it hard to say if he'll go abroad or not.

I'm all for Aussie players (all Aussies actually) doing stints in the UK and France. It gives them greater experience and they will hopefully return better players. I have been harping on for years that I think the Aussie forwards should all be sent to France to do a season there to toughen them up. Perhaps they will even learn to maul.

Besides, I have been living on mud island for the past decade so of course I have nothing against people coming over for a stint!

I'll even give Gits a sofa to crash on if he needs it!

I think that's fair enough and it's exactly what I would do if I were him.

He will go to France where he can a) earn a few euros, and b) inject a bit of culture into his veins.

I think Australian ( and English ) Rugby players should do this more often. Earn a few quid and soak up a little bit of culture. Leave "Reg Reagan" where he is. You can find him when you go back to Australia.

I don't really understand why any Aussie ( or English ) supporters would be upset about this. The players can spend a bit of time in France and then come back later.

The chateaux in the Loire Valley are a sight to behold. They don't have them in England or down under. Visiting the Chateaux would be good for Giteau. Even if he will be based down south....

It's tough for him to say if he'll go for the big European buck or not??? Thats priceless in itself. I bet he's on the first flight to France after the world cup to follow in Carters steps and earn some big bucks in between world cups. He will then return to Aus after two seasons and claim back the inside centre or flyhalf jersey.
