Wales great Barry John said the Australia duo of Matt Giteau and Quade Cooper had provided his compatriots with a “masterclass” after steering the Wallabies‘ to a 33-12 Test victory.

Giteau was very good on the weekend. I’ve been critical of his kicking from hand a lot this year, but his kicking was very good on the weekend. I actually thought his kicking from hand was OK against Scotland, but nobody would notice after missing a couple of getable penalties and conversions. I’d still prefer it if Giteau played at 12 and Quade at 10. When Barnes comes back I’d prefer it if he played 10 too.
But yeah, Giteau played tremendously well on the weekend.

Gits is a quality 12 and an average 10..this we can all agree on. Everything brilliant he did on saturday was at 2nd receiver..
PS – The Ione try from a Gits kick through was great and has been spoken about a lot…..but did you see the pass Cooper hit Gits with to start the whole move? amazing.
