Players behaving badly throws 2010 NRL tipping

I published a free NRL Teams 2010 eBook and it was only out for ten days before being outdated, thanks to Jake Friend and Danny Wicks. Now we aren’t sure who Shark international Paul Gallen will play for next season.
All three players were considered as keys in the make-up of their respective teams, with Gallen crucial to the Sharks, who are likely to firm to favoritism to win the Wooden Spoon should he leave.
Also, if he goes to another NRL club, they will firm considerably in betting markets.
Even if Gallen stays and the club enforces their two year contract, there is no doubt that the bad blood that has been spilled is not ideal for coach Stuart who will be looking to build a team spirit.
The situation mirrors the relationship that Willie Mason had with the Roosters this year, who has found himself contracted but without a club to play for.
Jake Friend, although only 19, was going to be the starting hooker for the Roosters, and his sacking will force Brian Smith to move to plan B and introduce another 19 year old not yet ready for first grade.
Danny Wicks was inked in as an impact forward off the bench. His enthusiasm and leg speed at the back of each half is a big loss.
The Raiders are also likely to come down heavy on Dave Shillington, who managed to get himself arrested for drunk driving after just reading about Jake Friend, who at least had the sense to jump in a taxi.
And it is not even Xmas yet!
It seems we will have to publish an updated version weekly.

Stick to betting on horses and the dogs and you’ll be fine. Oh, hang on, they have late scratchings too. Oh well.

….and your point would be?
I assume you have not read the eBook. It is free and is downloaded instantly.
It is a list of the gains and losses of each team and a view of the likely starting line up of each team which is purely opinion, but also educated and will be close.
The point of the thread was that when one person who is key becomes not available, then the entire team can is impacted.

The point of the thread appears to be free advertisement of a product.

The product is free. What part of that can you not comprehend?
So far over 1,500 people have downloaded the free copy so they can see who their favourite team have bought in the off season and also lost, and importantly gain an insight as to the look of the starting teams for 2010. It is also used as a daily reference on Talkin Sport. You dont get much free these days.
My inbox is full of thank yous……I wont hold out for yours Blaster

Anyone who bets on the wooden spoon or who will win the flag before Round 16 is an absolute fool.
The Eels and Storm showed this in 2009; Eels were headed for a spoon and ended up grand finalists; Storm’s attack hit form in the last few weeks of the finals and the momentum was unstoppable.
Gambling is a tax on the poor; which I think makes you a tax collector Scott. I’m with Master Blaster on this one, you’re just plugging your product Scott. Gambling is a virus on our society…just my opinion.

MR
I agree 100% with everything you wrote about betting, and yes, the comp doesnt take shape until after the last SOO game.
The eBook is not about gambling it is about each NRL team and key information relating to the team.
98% of gamblers lose which is a scary stat, and that doesnt include marriage which is by far the biggest and costliest for many.
FYI MB and MR I think I am a substantial contributor to this website and if an eBook happens to get mentioned that I wrote that is related to NRL then I think I am entitled to that. As it happens this eBook is FREE and the only people who gain from it are the readers who to date have been complimentary.

“who will win the flag”??? Huh??? What’s that? I’ve watched on NRL grand final day and there ain’t no flag.

If that was a serious question, the serious answer is Geelong again, but if you mean the NRL it is impossible at this early stage. I have 10 teams within 4 points of each other after 13 Rounds (halfway).
