While the reduced margins may hurt your total eventual profit - it at least may keep you in the game. My wife has worked in retail for a good number of years, and despite "the customer is always right" and you being well-entitled to argue that you only have to pay the marked price when a discrepancy occurs, it's quite legal for the retailer to promptly withdraw the (incorrectly-priced) product from sale on the spot. They paid me based on odds recalculated after the fact (and kindly refunded all the losing bets that I argued I only made based on their odds) and closed my account.
