What if World Series Cricket started today?

World Series Cricket was the biggest shake-up in the history of cricket, until the arrival of Twenty20.
Players such as Ian and Greg Chappell, Lillee, Greig, Viv Richards, Clive Lloyd, played in WSC and most of those players regard WSC as the highest standard of cricket they have played in.
But what if WSC happened today?
There would be the Super Tests, the International Cup, the Country Cup and Twenty20 competitions in today’s version of WSC.
The three teams under WSC banner would be Australia, West Indies and the World – exactly the same teams that was in the original version – but using the current day players like Ricky Ponting, Michael Clarke, VVS Laxman, Chris Gayle and Kevin Pietersen.
Venues would be used in Australia and NZ. Australian venues would be: MCG (Melbourne), SCG (Sydney), Adelaide Oval (Adelaide), WACA Ground (Perth), Bellerive Oval (Hobart). The NZ venues would be at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.
So, who would make into the Australian, West Indies & the World XI for the 21st century version of World Series Cricket? And how would the WSC games pan out?

You’d have to ditch the West Indies and replace them with India for it to work in the current era
