The Chennai Super Kings are the champions of the 2010 Indian Premier League after a 22-run win over Mumbai on Sunday.

Chennai, featuring Australians Matthew Hayden and Doug Bollinger, successfully defended a first-innings total of 5-168 to restrict Mumbai to just 9-146 and claim the title.

Neither Australian had a big role in the Super Kings’ victory with Hayden only managing 17 in Chennai’s innings while Bollinger finished with a solid 1-31 off his four overs in Mumbai’s chase.

Suresh Raina was the top scorer in the final, smashing an unbeaten 57 off just 33 balls for Chennai in an innings including three fours and three sixes.

Indian great Sachin Tendulkar was the main man for the Indians, scoring 48 off 45.

Both teams have qualified for this year’s Champions League Twenty20 tournament to be held in South Africa this September.
