Is it really wise to unleash Fev on China?

This weekend Melbourne and Brisbane play an exhibition game in Shanghai, China. Infamous bad boy Brendan Fevola is travelling with the Lions team, despite being unable to play due to injury.
It is only a matter of days since the Brisbane Lions lifted a suspension on Fevola for yet another off-field incident which was under police investigation.
Are the Lion’s hierarchy out of their minds?
Despite his prodigious talent and at times jaw dropping skill on the field, Fevola is more notorious for his off-field exploits – and they make quite a list. So with Fevola not playing, that only leaves the ‘off-field’ and the Fev is about to hit China!
The Lions are sick of Fevola; they have a massive salary cap issue due to his contract, and sponsors’ concerns as a result of his antics. The AFL are sick of Fevola upstaging them for all the wrong reasons.
However, maybe there is a method to this seeming madness. Rumours are circulating both Lions chairman Bowers and the AFL’s No.2 Adrian Anderson were also on the plane to China.
Both recorded unusual excess weight in their baggage, an odor of cement detected.
Just few thoughts on their plan:
1. Bury the Fev down a crack in the Great Wall and cement up the gap.
2. Bury the Fev with the other 6,000 terra cotta warriors in the province of Xian.
3. Erect a statue inside the Australian World Expo building to add to the statues of famous Australian cultural identities. Along with the ‘Drongo’, ‘Bushie’ and ‘Yobbo’, you could have the Fev sealed inside titled the ‘Dickhead’.
One cannot help but think perhaps Fevola will feel the calling across the border in Mongolia. I could see the Fev dreaming of roaming the valleys of Eurasia 1,000 years with his spiritual leader Genghis Khan.
He would be known as Vice Lord Fevola or the King of Vice – sex, grog and a 100 on ‘rock’n'roll’ in the 5th!
Of course, if none of these plans work, Bowers and Anderson will need to find a teaspoon and … err … harden up!

Yes. The funny thing is Fev is still tweeting via a sports marketing agency (using his twitter account). Fev sends texts and photos from China and they obviously filter it before passing on.

Redb, this is a pretty average article. It looks likely that the latest incident was a total beat-up, so it would seem that Fev’s behaviour has been close to impeccable since he joined the Lions.
He’s not my favourite player, and I think the Lions made a very bad decision in trading for him, but he deserves better than this.

Dont take it too seriously there TomC.
I realise there is speculation Fev was framed but seeing as no-one has evidence either way I’m not making a judgement. However, it is fact that he has been yet again subject to a police investigation. Why does this keep happening to him?
I love the bloke on the field, but reckon he is one of the biggest drop kicks in Australian sport and I’m not surprised the Lions and/or AFL want to flick him. But as I allude in the closing statement the Fev aint going anywhere.

I realise that its meant to be funny.
When there’s no evidence either way its probably safer to assume he’s innocent. Damn hard to prove a negative.
Completely agree that he’s a drop kick.

Redb, I’m surprised you didn’t have Bowers and Anderson personally wheeling Fevola everywhere through China on a trolley Hannibal Lecter style. Methinks you’ve gone on a bit here….

Melbourne won by 5 pts. Liam Jurrah kicked 5 goals and won the game with his last kick. Is there anything LJ can’t do? The Man From Central Australia.
