The Australia vs New Zealand ANZAC Test match kicks off tonight as the Kangaroos look to restore their superiority over the Kiwis, with the Benji Marshall-led side now holding the Four Nations and the World Cup over Australia.

The Kiwis have a poor record in the Anzac Test match, and often these games have been blowouts to Australia.

Apart from winning the very first game in 1998, they haven’t really troubled Australia, although the Kangaroos only won 12-8 in Melbourne last year in a closer affair.

The Kiwis seem to do better over longer stretches, where tournaments allow them to gel, particularly after a post-season where Australia’s NRL stars often appear to find it difficult to continue their form.
