All eyes will be on Suncorp Stadium this afternoon, as the third-placed Broncos aim to extend a four-match winning streak. Standing in their way is the Rabbitohs, themselves on a four-match winning run. We’ll have live score updates from the commencement, starting from 3pm.

If it wasn’t for Friday night’s top of the table clash between Manly and Melbourne, this afternoon’s clash would be a worthy game of the round. Regardless, we have two teams in red hot form and it will certainly be a blockbuster.

The pessimistic outlook surrounding the Broncos during the Henjak era has evaporated under new mentor Anthony Griffin this season, and Brisbane have gone from strength to strength.

Against a Knights side which needed to win, the Broncos were devastating last week on Monday Night Football and based on that performance, only the foolhardy would discount their chances come finals time.

But they face a worthy opponent this weekend in South Sydney.

Injuries and a general inconsistency appeared to have dashed their chances four weeks ago, but four dominating performances in which they have racked up a whopping 163 points have changed the equation.

The stakes could not be higher for this one and with two evenly matched sides, it is nigh on impossible to pick who will claim the two points. Expect fireworks.
