Perth Glory and Newcastle Jets are two of the most in-form teams in the A-League and tonight they face off with the victor claiming the upper hand in the race for the all-important fourth spot. We’ll have updated live scores from 10.00pm AEDT.

Despite losing 2-1 last week at Sydney, Perth still looking to be one of the most imposing sides in this competition and are beginning to once again make the home ground a fortress.

They dismantled a dismal Gold Coast unit 4-0 a fortnight ago and really could have won by another four, while hammering Melbourne Victory 4-1 two rounds earlier, and haven’t been beaten their in 2012.

Tonight they face a stern test against a resurgent Newcastle Jets and will face Gary van Egmond’s side without the services of one of the A-League’s deadliest marksmen, Shane Smeltz, who will miss with a foot injury.

The travelling Jets have an injury concern of their own, with goalscoring midfielder and captain Jobe Wheelhouse not travelling west after picking up a groin injury.

Ben Kantarovski (Olyroos duty) is also unavailable, meaning the impressive Taylor Regan will push forward from centre-half to take his position at the base of the Jets midfield.

This could be the critical factor in the game. Perth have been ultra impressive with the midfield trio of Liam Miller, Steven McGarry and Jacob Burns and if they can dominate the Jets in the middle, they should win at home again.

Who gets the break in the race for a home final – Glory or Jets? Find out from 10.00pm AEDT as we provide up to the minute live score updates and if you’re watching, don’t hesitate to join in below.
