West Indies and Australia will meet at St. Vincent for the third time in the five-match ODI series and we’ll bring you the live scores and commentary of the action starting at 12.30 am AEDT on Wednesday morning.

West Indies’ first win in an ODI against Australia for more than five years levelled the series at one game apiece.

Given the home team’s position in the opening game and their subsequent capitulation, it will be safe to say they could easily have been two up.

Australia’s batting has been an obvious let-down on a slow Kingstown pitch. The stroke-players of the likes of Dave Warner and Shane Watson have not found the going easy and even the accumulators like the Hussey brothers have yet to get a longish innings under their belt.

Matthew Wade’s demotion to the number seven or eight position has been surprising and it could make sense to get him to face the new ball.

Bowling-wise Australia have done a decent job but they seem to be one bowler short. Giving second spinner Nathan Lyon a go in place of one of the top-order batsmen on the slow St. Vincent pitch could be a good idea.

Of course, it could also depend on whether Ben Hilfenhaus or James Pattinson have regained their fitness. If that is the case, they could get a look-in.

West Indies’ win was a scrappy one but the maturity that the usually brash Kieron Pollard showed was telling.

His other unbeaten partner Carlton Baugh may not have scored too many but after a string of failures he did a sterling job in seeing the game through.

Where West Indies continue to lack is stability in the top-order as the inexperienced duo of Kieran Powell and Charles Johnson has not had much success.

Without a back-up batsman in the squad, however, the best that West Indies can do is to shuffle the batting around instead.

Sunil Narine has yet to be unravelled by the Australian batsmen and he will continue to mystify them.

Unless the Aussies get a pitch on which they can go hard at him and not allow the mystery-bowler to settle, they may have to play out his 10 overs without losing too many.

Kemar Roach’s pace has been complemented well by his control and he looks a different bowler from the previous year when he struggled. How Australia see him off in the opening few overs will be a telling factor in the game.

Rain could play a part yet again with showers forecasted on the match-day. Fielding first will be a good option yet again for the team winning the toss.
