The winner of the Australian Super Rugby conference could well be decided tonight when the Brumbies host the Reds in Canberra. We’ll have live scores as they happen from 7.35pm AEST.

It was one thing to dismantle a pathetic Waratahs outfit 23-6 in Canberra, but to travel to Wellington and roll the Hurricanes 37-25 last weekend highlight just how far Jake White has taken this side from last year.

They stormed home to register 21 points to seal the bonus point – their eighth of the year – and now lead the Reds by eight points in the Australian Conference, though the Queenslanders do have the added security of four points from the bye to come.

After a mid-season malaise the Reds, like the Crusaders side they defeated in last year’s final, look to be picking up at just the right time of the year.

Consecutive wins over the Chiefs and Lions mean they’ve now won three of their past four, and with influential flyhalf Quade Cooper making his long-awaited return from an ACL injury last weekend, things couldn’t be more rosier for Ewen McKenzie’s men.

Brumbies fans will be disappointed to learn of the news that number eight Fotu Auelua will miss through injury, with Ben Mowen shifting into the role and Peter Kimlin replacing the skipper at six. The Reds should come into this one without any new injuries, though the squad was yet to be finalised at the time of writing.

We’ve got a mini-final on our hands tonight. Should the Brumbies get up they will have all but done enough to secure top spot with only four rounds remaining – but a loss will mean the race is well and truly open.

Who takes it? Find out from 7.35pm AEST as we cover action from the game of the round with live scores and if you’re watching, give us your thoughts in the space below.
