The Manly Sea Eagles host St George Illawarra Dragons at Brookvale Oval in Round 13 NRL action on Friday Night Football. Join us for live NRL scores and commentary from 7.30pm AEST.

Both teams are looking for some form at the midway point of the season and both sides will be desperate for a big performance tonight.

The Eagles are 7-5 after an uncharacteristically poor performance last weekend against a very committed Penrith Panthers side. Geoff Toovey’s men will be looking to their young halves pairing of Kieran Foran and Daly Cherry-Evans to control the ship and sink the Saints.

Dragons are 6-6 and are at a worrying point after a lucky escape last week against the Parramatta Eels. The round 12 win over the Eels came after two golden point losses and a hammering from North Queensland.

Coach Steve Price has inherited an ageing list from Wayne Bennett and must find a way for his side to win the close games. They have no problem getting into the arm wrestle, its winning the tight match that would have Coach Price worried.

The Big Red V will not only have to win the battle in the engine room, they obviously need to score some points. Creativity from Jamie Soward and Ben Hornby is vital and will be looking to get the edge attackers some early ball against Dean Whare.

Glenn Stewart is the danger man in this one. His ability to play at the line with runners like Jamie Lyon and Brett Stewart inside and out would have been scouted all week by the Saints. Look for the Dragons to minimise Stewart’s time with the ball.

The Eagles at Brookvale on a cold Friday night is a tough mission for the best of sides. Are the Dragons good enough to steal the points?

It’s the 2011 premiers up against the 2010 premiers in Friday night Football.

Prediction: Eagles by 10
