The Gold Coast Suns continue to search for their first win as St Kilda pays a visit to Metricon Stadium. We’ll have live scores from 4.40pm AEST.
On paper, the Saints are the team far more likely to get the win. However, upsets are well and truly in vogue right now, and the Suns should have ample motivation.
The expansion club are yet to win a game on their home turf, and indeed haven’t won this season anywhere, so they will be desperate to register four points.
Last week, despite a world record-equally 53 disposals from Gary Ablett, they went down to a vastly more experienced Collingwood side by 97 points.
Like a lot of games, you can point to the fact they were within 14 points early in the second quarter, but as the winless streak builds, so too does the pressure.
The Saints, meanwhile, will be reeling from what could’ve been last Friday night against Richmond. In one of the games of the season, they went down by eight points.
Unlike some other clubs, they aren’t taking the Suns lightly at the selection table, making no changes from their side of last week.
David Armitage continued his solid form with 22 disposals and two goals against the Tigers, while Nick Riewoldt and Ahmed Saad had three goals each.
St Kilda are ninth on the ladder and will see this as a chance to return to the top eight. The Suns are dead last as the only side without a win.
They’ve brought in Jared Brennan, Josh Toy, Brandon Matera and Seb Tape for this clash.
