Miami Heat reach NBA finals series
The Miami Heat are headed back to the NBA championship series after rallying to beat the Boston Celtics 101-88 and clinch the eastern conference title 4-3.
LeBron James led the Heat with 31 points and 12 rebounds while Dwayne Wade scored 23 points to help their team come back from as many as 11 points down in game 7 in Miami on Saturday.
The third member of the Heat’s big three, Chris Bosh, finished with 19 points off the bench.
Miami now meet western conference winners Oklahoma City in the NBA Finals starting on Tuesday and will seek to go one better than last year when they lost to the Dallas Mavericks in the title series.
“We look forward to the next challenge,” James said. “Still one more step.”
Rajon Rondo finished with 22 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds for Boston, which got 19 points from Paul Pierce in what might be the last game of the “Big Four” era for the Celtics.
James kept alive his hopes of capturing his first NBA title, his main goal when he departed the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2010 to join fellow superstars Wade and Bosh in Miami.

Can’t wait for Game 1. James v Durant to see which future Hall of Famers gets a ring first.
I want to see LeBron get one to get the monkey off his back, but Durant deserves a championship to. Shame Patty Mills won’t get a crack at a title.
