Wallabies five-eighth Berrick Barnes is expected to line up against Wales in the second Test at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne on Saturday night despite making a quick dash to Sydney for the birth of his first child.

The 26-year-old departed Wallabies camp late on Friday to return home to Sydney, where his wife Bec later gave birth to a boy.

The NSW Waratahs playmaker is due to jet back to Melbourne on Saturday afternoon and reassemble with the team less than two hours before kick-off.

The Wallabies can wrap up their three-Test series against the Six Nations champions after winning the opener 27-19 in Brisbane last week.
