Premiership contenders go head to head as Collingwood host West Coast in a massive game. We’ll have live scores from 4.40pm AEST.
This is the game of the round and has the potential to be one of the games of the season.
The home side sits third on the ladder and the away team is first.
Both have nine wins and two losses; only percentage separates them.
Collingwood are coming off the bye but prior to the break they scored a comfortable win over Melbourne.
Dane Swan, Dayne Beams and Steele Sidebottom led the way in the 42-point win.
This week they welcome back handy names in Heath Shaw, Alan Toovey and Ben Reid. They did, however, lose Alan Didak after just his first kick in that game against the Dees.
West Coast hosted Carlton last Thursday night in an exciting game, winning by 10 points.
Nic Naitanui’s performance was the talk of the footy world after the game thanks to his 25 disposals, 31 hitouts and one of the greatest behinds you’ll ever see.
Beau Waters and Mitch Brown come in for Adam Selwood and Will Schofield.
The two sides have had some injury worries this year and pundits have wondered when those injuries might catch up to them, but it’s getting to the point where both have established themselves as very serious contenders.
The Pies have home ground advantage, which may give them the edge, but it’s sure to be a cracking game.

Lol West Coast supporters whingeing about home town frees when their side enjoys a 2 to 1 advantage in frees at their home ground

This game just demonstrated the benefit of home ground advantage and it’s effect on umpires. tight game at the end…. the fact west coast closed the gap twice in this match suggests the magpies are going to cop a significant loss come round 22 at subiaco oval…smells like 2011 and this time the eagles will play the role of geelong and beat magpies in the grand final.

I am surprised it took until the last quarter to start saying they cant work out why the umpires arent paying frees to collingwood, it does go both ways. And Duwayne is now saying west coast could be ontop if they win, that took until the last quarter.
