Two sides at opposite ends of the ladder meet as West Coast host Gold Coast. We’ll have live scores from 4.40pm AEST.

West Coast will be hungry to bounce back after a narrow defeat at the hands of Collingwood in last week’s top of the table clash.

It was billed as one of the games of the season and it didn’t disappoint, with the final margin being just three points. The Pies led by 27 points late in the third term, but the Eagles fought their way back.

Daniel Kerr was their most impressive player with close to 30 touches and a goal.

The concern was that they didn’t have an answer for Travis Cloke, who kicked five goals. The Suns, however, don’t possess a forward likely to cause the same kind of damage.

Last week Gold Coast had the bye but prior to that, they narrowly lost at home to North Melbourne by seven points.

Gary Ablett topped 40 possessions yet again (and four goals) but Harley Bennell also impressed with 27 touches and two goals.

It was a promising performance, but ultimately they are the only side yet to register a win in 2012. Ablett and Bennell were the only multiple goal scorers last week and lead the club’s goal kicking tally.

A test for the club going forward is to find more contributors.

Debutant Murray Newman comes in for West Coast, taking the place of Tom Swift. Jarrod Harbrow and Charlie Dixon are among the Gold Coast’s inclusions, although Michael Rischitelli is a big out.
