The Western Bulldogs face a massive challenge as premiership contenders Hawthorn look to build on their impressive current form. We’ll have live scores from 3.15pm AEST.

It just isn’t looking like the Bulldogs’ season in 2012, with wins proving hard to come by.

They have lost five of their last six – the win was against Port Adelaide – and are down to 14th place with five wins. It’s not a pretty record and they’ll be hungry to improve it.

The Hawks, meanwhile, are beginning to hit their straps. They are outside the top four, but momentum is clearly with them.

Five wins in a row, including a 162-point belting of GWS last weekend, makes them look like a major threat. They’ll be seeing this as a chance to add even more to their league-best percentage.

The Dogs last week traveled to Perth and went down to Fremantle by 38 points.

Tory Dickson was impressive with three goals, while once again Matthew Boyd led the way with 35 disposals and six clearances.

Leading the Hawks in their complete domination of the Giants was Jarryd Roughead with six goals, Lance Franklin with four prior to being subbed off, Cyril Rioli with a great all-round game and Matt Suckling with a game-high 34 touches.

Brad Sewell and Shaun Burgoyne are big inclusions for the Hawks, while Franklin will miss due to his hamstring injury.

Ryan Hargrave, Bob Murphy and Tom Williams all return for the Bulldogs.
