Super Saturday continues with a blockbuster as finals aspirants the North Queensland Cowboys and Manly Sea Eagles clash at Dairy Farmers Stadium. Join us for live scores and commentary from 7.30pm AEST.

Manly’s charge toward the finals got a massive boost when they defeated the Warriors in Perth last week.

Trailing 18-nil early, the Sea Eagles came roaring back to defeat New Zealand in a game where Manly lost captain Jason King to injury.

North Queensland meanwhile was gallant in their 32-18 defeat to the Bulldogs and showcased that they are a team capable of doing damage come September.

The Cowboys will have to continue their solid form tonight if they are to get the better of the reigning premiers.

Prediction

The Sea Eagles showed enormous character to beat the Warriors last week but may struggle to match the Cowboys tonight based on their recent travel schedule.

After playing in Perth, Manly have had to fly to the other side of the country within a week and may struggle with fatigue as a result.

Although Manly recovered just in time to defeat New Zealand after a slow start, the Sea Eagles can ill-afford to give the Cowboys a fast start given their heavy travel schedule.

With Johnathon Thurston and Matt Bowen in fine form, North Queensland will be in no mood to give up a big lead should they establish a nice advantage at home.

If both teams are at their best, this should be a cracking contest and one that should yield plenty of points.

With both teams well served in the attacking department, discipline and ball handling will serve as the key factors that will decide which side wins tonight.

Manly showed last week what they can do when they possess momentum, scoring 18 unanswered points late in the second half to stun the Warriors after trailing significantly.

If the Cowboys go off the boil and make errors and give away penalties, Sea Eagles stars Brett Stewart, Jamie Lyon, Daly Cherry-Evans and Kieran Foran will punish the home side.

With the Cowboys desperate to hang on to a top four spot, expect the hosts to wear down a Manly side that may struggle to match their recent intense performances against the Bulldogs and Warriors respectively.
