The Western Bulldogs will be hoping history repeats as they face North Melbourne. We’ll have live scores from 1.45pm AEST.

Last time these teams met, in round seven, the Doggies caused a bit of an upset in winning by 18 points.

The seasons of these two clubs have gone in very different directions since then, and with with September now firmly in the Kangaroos’ sights, another slip-up for them could prove disastrous.

The Dogs, way back in 15th place on five wins, will be looking for pride and a more respectable ladder position.

North, holding onto eighth spot on ten wins, simply can’t afford to lose.

Last week the Bulldogs clashed with St Kilda but simply weren’t in the contest come the second half, eventually going down by 76 points.

Matthew Boyd was once again the on-field leader with 27 disposals, while Bob Murphy had eight marks to go with his 19 touches in defence. Daniel Giansiracusa and Tory Dickson both had two goals, but there were only two other goal scorers for the whole game.

North Melbourne had a comparatively better weekend, beating Melbourne by 54 points.

Mature-age recruit Sam Gibson had 36 disposals and eight marks. Andrew Swallow and Brent Harvey also topped 30 touches, while Robbie Tarrant and Drew Petrie, who’s been in great form, had four goals each.

The Dogs have made five changes, with the big outs being Daniel Cross and Lindsay Gilbee. For North, Cruize Garlett comes in for the suspended Lindsay Thomas.
