While finals are now only a mathematical possibility for Richmond, they’ll be hungry for four points against the Western Bulldogs. We’ll have live scores and updates from 3.15pm AEST.
Everything would need to go right for the Tigers, so their season is essentially done, but this young side on the rise will want to finish off the season with some momentum.
To do so would give them confidence throughout the pre-season next year.
The Bulldogs, however, will be seeing a side only three more spots away on the ladder. They too would love to add another four points to their 2012 campaign.
Richmond ended their losing streak last week with a 48-point win over the Brisbane Lions.
Ivan Maric had 44 hitouts, 16 disposals and a goal, while Brett Deledio had 33 disposals and a goal.
The Western Bulldogs went down to North Melbourne by 54 points. Matthew Boyd was the side’s best with 34 touches, while young Mitch Wallis had ten clearances to go with his 25 disposals.
Tom Liberatore is now out for the season due to his suspension and Daniel Cross had a season-ending injury a week earlier. When combined with their recent form, you get the sense they are limping towards the end of the season.
The Tigers will at least be hungry to prove they are on the cusp of the top eight, so they appear to be the side more likely.
In team news, Lin Jong is set to make his Bulldog debut, while Ryan Hargrave and Justin Sherman are also inclusions. There are no changes for Richmond.
