Adelaide will look for a confidence boost, and perhaps a first-week home final, when they host the Gold Coast Suns. We’ll have live scores from 2.10pm AEST.

While other results would need to go the Crows’ way for them to return to the top two, this will still be an important warm up for September.

A loss, however unlikely it may seem, would kill any hopes of the top two.

As for Gold Coast, it might prove hard to repeat but all of the sudden they can be perceived as a dangerous opponent: their surprise win over Carlton last week led to Brett Ratten’s sacking.

The Crows last week accounted for Melbourne in easy enough fashion, winning by 69 points.

Leading the way was Taylor Walker and Ian Callinan with four goals each and Scott Thompson with 29 touches and 11 clearances. Patrick Dangerfield, who had three goals with his 22 touches, was also impressive.

For the Suns, they held on for a 12-point win over the Blues.

Tom Lynch had four goals, Gary Ablett had 23 disposals, six inside 50s and a goal, Josh Caddy had three goals, and Harley Bennell had 22 touches with six clearances.

Rory Sloane and Matthew Jaensch are inclusions for Adelaide, with Bernie Vince and Luke Brown out. Gold Coast have replaced Josh Toy with Jeremy Taylor.
