We talk about it week-in, week-out, but it’s the same old problems for the Wallabies. There was no enthusiasm against the French, no skill, and no attack.

Where to from here?

I read some of the comments on The Roar that it was perhaps the Wallabies’ worse ever performance. I’m not sure about that, but it was certainly the worst game Australia has played this year.

How can you keep on watching rugby like that?

They didn’t even look like they are happy or enjoying the game. Scoring tries has become difficult for them.

The French weren’t a great team. But they did defend effectively and Michalak was outstanding with the ball in hand.

They wanted to win more.

Meanwhile, in their game against Scotland, the All Blacks showed everyone how it should be done by letting the ball do the work. They ran great angles and always looked to offload in the tackle.

The Wallabies have got to do something different against England. These players just haven’t got the skills to play like the All Blacks. But they have to be more enterprising all the same.

Or play as a team. Die for each other.

But what do we do at centre? McCabe is not the answer as he can’t pass nor offload; he doesn’t create; he offers so little in attack.

We need someone to step up and help Beale put pressure on the other team.

I’d love to know what Robbie Deans has these guys doing at training? Even the under 10s I coach have more idea what to do on the rugby field.

Their skills are not great. If Deans is a good coach, why haven’t we got the skills to attack?

He is clueless about our rugby.

On the weekend, the guys looked like they’d never played together. And then I read that Beale said later he thought it was good when the reserves came on as they ‘sparked us up’.

So what are you saying: you need reserve players to come on and lift the team? Really?

Something is missing. The Wallabies are just not playing as a team.

Watch the way Dan Carter plays. He is not a selfish player, he’s a team man. He is always looking for support and he has plenty of runners to choose from.

I know the problem with us is the coaching as players stop to think and look for space.

The Wallabies have too many individuals; they’re not playing for each other. They’ve lost that knack of looking for support. Even the wingers look like they don’t want to get involved.

If I can see the problems, why can’t the coach?

You have to do the simple things right to win games: get the backine going, run straight and support each other.

Let the ball do the work and attack the opposition.

But first, the forwards must go past the advantage line and then produce quick ball. The forwards must run into the gaps and keep the other team guessing.

This week we have the old enemy, the Poms. Let’s pray that they don’t let us down again.

But the question has to be asked: how many tests do we have to lose before the ARU board get rid of Deans?
