It’s a battle of two in-form teams in a very remote setting as the South Sydney Rabbitohs take a home game to Cairns to face the Gold Coast Titans, live from 2.00pm AEST. Join us then for live scores an updates.
Both of these teams had byes last week and some extra rest for their State of Origin players, as five of the Queensland 17 were from these two clubs.
Before that, an Inglis-less Rabbitohs overcame the Knights at home and the Titans have strung together back-to-back trouncings of the Eels and Cowboys.
A win here would see Gold Coast leapfrog Manly and break into the top four.
With the Roosters and Storm yet to play this round, a loss for the competition-leading Bunnies could see them drop from first to third, if both of the other competition heavyweights were to win later on Sunday.
Greg Inglis had an uncharacteristically quiet State of Origin and hasn’t played since, and will be looking to have a big game here.
And with injury to Anthony Watmough and James Tamou under a suspension cloud, John Sutton will have to also be feeling good about his chances to earn his first sky blue jumper.
These two have been Souths’ best all year, and don’t expect that to change.
For the Titans, they’ve not beaten a top eight side since Round 3 against Manly, and will be looking to prove a point here.
It’s the first time the Rabbitohs have taken a game to Cairns, and the last time these two sides met it was a close one, with Souths running out 22-18 winners.
