An opening round defeat to Aston Villa was not the start Arsenal needed and the Gunners will be keen to fire tonight against Fulham in a bid to get their Premier League campaign back on track. Join us for live scores and commentary from 9.45pm AEST.

Arsenal managed to bounce back into some form mid-week, courtesy of a 3-0 victory against Fenerbahce away from home in the Champions League qualifier.

It was a welcome return to winning ways for the Gunners after a horror start in the Premier League last week.

Arsenal suffered a surprise defeat at home to Villa, a loss that heaps more pressure on embattled manager Arsene Wenger.

While the result against Fenerbahce will ease some concerns, Arsenal really needs to step up tonight against Fulham in a bid to get fans onside after another poor start to the year.

At home, Fulham certainly have it within themselves to test Arsenal tonight, and we may just see a very competitive match as a result.

Fulham will have to keep an eye on Aaron Ramsey tonight if they hope to stifle Arsenal’s attacking play.

Ramsey was superb against Fenerbahce mid-week, scoring a goal and setting up another in the 3-0 victory in Istanbul.

Ramsey is a fine footballer and will tear Fulham to shreds if the young Welshman is granted the space to weave his magic.

Fulham meanwhile should fancy their chances of scoring goals against an Arsenal defensive unit that was opened up far too easily by Villa last week.

Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov could prove a real handful for the Gunners, particularly if Arsenal fall behind early.

Overall, Fulham will be confident of causing the upset at home, given that they are coming off a solid opening round victory against Sunderland.

While Arsenal will start favourites courtesy of their victory over Fenerbahce, an upset victory for Fulham is well on the cards here if Arsenal are not careful.

Prediction: Arsenal to win 2-1
