A scintillating first half as Freo held the ball in their attack,
And Crowley turned the scews while tagging Kieren Jack.
Pavlich, Mundy, Barlow, Walters and Nat Fyfe
Mzungu, Duffield, Sandilands, Ballantyne causing strife,
For 19 years it has been brewing, yet to reach its peak
But Freo play the Hawks in the Grand Final, yep, this week!
Friday night was a classic as Geelong played the Hawks
It was time the Hawthorn football club put paid to all that talk!
The Cats had won so many games, made Hawthorn look like rabbits
There had to be a change for them, a chance to break the habit.
Mitchell played a blinder, Buddy underdone
Burgoyne was just brilliant as was Hale and young Gunston.
Johnson for the Cats and Motlop, Selwood, Stokes,
Guthrie, Taylor, Duncan and a heap of other blokes
Almost stole the game from Hawthorn, for victory they did strive
And Varcoe missed that shot on goal, the final margin five!
So Saturday’s the big one, the final day of AFL
Fans can expect two teams to fight until the final bell.
Who will be the winner, Hawthorn or the Dockers?
Who will play a great game and who will put in shockers?
Will Freo get their glory, will Hawthorn achieve fame?
