Welcome to this Big Bash clash between the Melbourne Stars and the Sydney Sixers. We’ll have live scores and commentary from 7.30pm AEDT.

Melbourne had a dominant win last week against cross-town rivals Melbourne Renegades.

They piled on the runs with English import Luke Wright starting the match off perfectly for the Stars with a quick-fire innings laying the perfect platform for his side.

The Englishman was also key figure with the ball, picking up the key wicket of Aaron Finch.

The Stars will be looking for a similar performance from there English import this week.

The Sixers where lead by Steve Smith last week for their win against a struggling Sydney Thunder.

Smith’s absence will leave a place for inter-state import Marcus North to take his place in the line up.

North missed last week with illness, but has been cleared to play in this fixture.

The best player for the Sixers last week was their young gun Nic Maddinson.

Maddinson set the perfect platform for the Sixers to explode.

If Maddinson can be as explosive at the start of the innings the Sixers will score big.

Prediction
I think the Sixers will be boosted by being at home and will win a very close match.
