Yesterday I began outlining some of the most exciting talent to look out for in the AFL preseason, today I complete the list.

Melbourne
The Squad
I could not pick any two players out of the Melbourne squad who I’m looking forward to watching in the preseason games because I’m impatiently waiting to see how the whole team performs after their first summer with Paul Roos.

North Melbourne
Majak Daw
Daw took the AFL by storm last year and a convincing NAB Challenge series; he’ll be right in the mix for North Melbourne’s Round 1 team.

Daniel Currie
A lot of Supercoaches had Currie in their team all season thinking he would crack an AFL debut during 2013 but it never happened.

Currie may crack a debut this year if he can control ruck contests in the preseason.

Port Adelaide
Jarman Impey
Port Adelaide’s first selection of the 2013 draft will want to lay good foundations for a possible Round 1 selection, as many do not rate him high enough for the Power’s best 22.

Ben Newton
Newton finished his 2013 SANFL season in great form and was on the verge on an AFL debut. Matt White has also told the club’s website that Newton has also been really impressive on the track over this summer.

It’ll be good to see what ‘Newts’ can produce in the preseason challenge games.

Aaron Young
Young was known as the ‘super sub’ after his elimination final performance against Collingwood but I’m sure he would’ve loved to start the match.

‘Youngy’ could not crack in the Power’s team until the second half of the 2013 season. His journey to keep his spot on the Power’s list next year starts as soon as he enters his first NAB Challenge game.

Young must impress coaches so he is regularly on the selection table week by week if he doesn’t want to get delisted by the end of the year.

Richmond Tigers
Shaun Hampson
Like other players who have changed clubs, I’m keen to see how Hampson performs in a Richmond guernsey.

Ben Lennon
Richmond’s first pick in last year’s draft apparently has showed he is ready to play Round 1 over the summer.

The NAB Challenge games will tell us how big of an impact he can have on a game.

St Kilda
Luke Dunstan
The first round draftee already has a body mature enough to face the challenges of the AFL.

Dunstan has natural leadership and it’ll be good to see how he can command a game during the preseason campaign.

Billy Longer
Making the shift from Brisbane, Longer can show signs of fulfilling his potential if he has magnificent on-field preseason performances.

Sydney Swans
Lance Franklin
Buddy in a Swans outfit. What more do I need to say?

Brandon Jack
In his debut year of 2013, Brandon Jack played nine games and managed to play seven games consecutively.

There is no doubt injuries helped Jack keep his place in the team but an excellent preseason could see Jack rise above the pack to have himself in the team’s best 22.

West Coast Eagles
Andrew Gaff
If Gaff builds some consistency in his game this year he would become one of the competition’s best midfielders, creating havoc in the NAB Challenge games would be the first step for Gaff in building form.

Dom Sheed
Sheed is an amazing young talent who is likely to become a star with experience.

After breaking his collarbone during June last year, I can’t wait to see what he produces against other AFL clubs.

Western Bulldogs
Tom Campbell and Jake Stringer
Stringer missed a lot of the second half of 2013 due to injury; the promising number five draft pick was not playing when 2011 draftee Tom Campbell hit some form kicking nine goals out of the last five matches in 2013.

The Bulldog’s forward line is potentially very dangerous for other club if Stewart Crameri, Stringer and Campbell are all in form.
