The Rabbitohs come into this game after their impressive display in defeating the Roosters and play a Manly side keen to get points in a game guaranteed to get bums on seats at Gosford.

Manly played well in the first half on the weekend, but were lacking in attack in the second half after Brett Stewart suffered a hamstring injury against the Storm.

They go into this game against the Rabbitohs without Brett Stewart and with doubts hanging over the strength of their forward pack this year.

Peta Hiku, a utility back who made his debut for Manly last year, replaces Brett Stewart. David Willams returns from injury on the wing and veteran prop Jason King will be on the bench in an apparent attempt to strengthen the Manly pack.

The Manly forwards are obviously a concern to coach Geoff Toovey and Manly recently announced the signing of former New Zealand international forward Epalahame Lauaki.

The Kiwi and Tongan international began his career with the Warriors and played in the UK with both Hull and Wigan before being released early this year.

Manly will be hungry for points, but Souths come fresh from their impressive win against the Roosters and have named an unchanged side, with their halves apparently cleared to play.

It is no doubt a luxury for Souths to be able to name an unchanged side but some injury concerns linger over their 6 and 7. An extended Souths bench has been named, but I am assuming both halves will play.

No doubt the Manly halves will attempt to exploit any weakness in the Souths halves but I doubt the Manly pack will be able to contain the Rabbitohs forwards and expect Souths to sink the Sea Eagles.
