With first place secured, the Brisbane Roar will look to continue their strong form leading into the A-League finals when they host the Central Coast Mariners tonight. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 7.40pm AEDT.

The Mariners slipped up unexpectedly against Perth last week and face a tough task to secure three points against Brisbane away from home.

The Roar have been close to unbeatable at Suncorp Stadium this season, and the hosts will be looking to produce yet another strong performance in their last home game of the regular season.

Tonight’s contest against the Mariners is also Brisbane’s last match for a couple of weeks, given that they have a bye in the first week of the finals.

With an extended break coming up, Brisbane will be keen to head into their break in the best form possible.

The Mariners have been very impressive in recent weeks but found themselves well outplayed by the Glory last Saturday.

Phil Moss’ men failed to dominate possession against the Glory en route to a comprehensive 3-1 defeat.

If the Mariners fail to improve on last week’s effort, they could be in for a long evening against a clinical Roar outfit.

Brisbane themselves are coming off a tough draw against the Wanderers. The Roar managed to withstand a second half onslaught from Western Sydney en route to securing another draw down at Pirtek Stadium.

Even when they find themselves under pressure, Brisbane still find a way to conjure up a draw or a win when they are not expected to.

Back at home however, the Roar will be expected to play the enterprising brand of football that has once again seen them finish well ahead of the chasing pack.

With the Mariners having undergone extensive travel over the past few weeks, the Roar should be expected to secure another victory against a fatigued opponent.

Roar to win 2-nil.
